As a virtual assistant I'm part of one of the fastest growing professions in the United States.  My industry has been featured in magazines and on radio and television talk shows such as ABC's Good Morning America and NBC's Today Show.  As a virtual assistant I am an independent professional who works as a contractor and not an employee.   As is the case with most other VA's I work from a fully equipped home office offering personal and administrative support without being present at my client's location.  Instead we communicate on projects by phone, fax, e-mail or even instant message or Skype.
